Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website or engaging our services. By accessing or using armourwaterfiltration.com.au, requesting a quote, booking a water consultation, or purchasing any product or service from Armour Water Filtration, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or engage our services.

1. About these Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions are provided by Ecotech Pacific Pty Ltd (ABN 82 684 960 094) trading as Armour Water Filtration (“Armour Water Filtration”, “Armour”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 By using this website, requesting a consultation, obtaining a quote, or purchasing products or services from Armour Water Filtration, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including cooling-off rights that apply to unsolicited consumer agreements.

2. Our Products and Services

2.1 Armour Water Filtration supplies water filtration and purification products, together with replacement filters, consumables, accessories and servicing. Professional installation is supplied or arranged for products designed for installation. The products we offer, and their applicable warranty terms, are set out in the Product Warranty Schedules in section 10. Our products carry WaterMark certification where applicable to the product type; certification details for each product are available on the relevant product page or on request.

2.2 Our supply and install service operates in Perth and Melbourne metropolitan areas. Supply-only purchases are available for other areas.

2.3 We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, images and performance data published on this website are accurate and current. Product specifications, components and appearances may vary from those depicted; images and diagrams are for illustrative purposes only. Please contact us to confirm exact specifications, compatibility with your property’s plumbing, and current pricing before ordering.

2.4 The free water consultation offered by Armour Water Filtration is a preliminary assessment carried out by one of our representatives. It is provided at no cost and without obligation. Results are indicative only, are intended to assist in recommending a suitable filtration solution, and do not constitute a formal water quality report.

2.5 Replacement filter cartridges supplied by Armour Water Filtration are genuine components matched to the specifications of our products. Using non-genuine or incompatible cartridges may void your system warranty and affect filtration performance.

3. Authorised Sales Representatives

3.1 Armour Water Filtration products are sold through Armour’s Authorised Sales Representatives. Sales made through an Authorised Sales Representative are sales by Armour Water Filtration and are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

3.2 Authorised Sales Representatives are not authorised to vary these Terms and Conditions, the published warranty terms, or to make representations beyond Armour’s published materials; any commitment outside these Terms is binding only if confirmed in writing by Armour Water Filtration. To verify that a representative is authorised, contact Armour on 1300 431 467.

4. Authorised Trade Partners

4.1 Armour Water Filtration supplies products through Authorised Trade Partners, providing professional installation approved by Armour. Where a product is purchased through an Authorised Trade Partner and supplied to an end customer, the applicable Product Warranty Schedule applies for the benefit of the end customer at the original installation address, commencing from the date of installation.

4.2 Warranty claims for trade-supplied products are submitted through the supplying Trade Partner, who will liaise with Armour on the end customer’s behalf. Installation workmanship, and all obligations relating to the sale between the Trade Partner and their customer, remain solely the responsibility of the Trade Partner. Proof of purchase and installation date are required for all claims.

4.3 Products purchased through parties other than Armour Water Filtration or an Authorised Trade Partner are not covered by Armour’s product warranties. To confirm whether a supplier is an Authorised Trade Partner, contact Armour on 1300 431 467.

5. Pricing, Payment and Online Orders

5.1 All prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

5.2 Payment terms, including any deposit payable, are set out in your quote. For supply and install orders, the balance is payable on completion of installation. For supply-only orders, payment is required before dispatch.

5.3 Any quote provided by Armour Water Filtration is valid for 7 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. A quote is not a binding contract until accepted and a deposit or payment has been received.

5.4 Online orders. Where products are offered for purchase through our online store, your order constitutes an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch the products, whichever occurs first. Armour Water Filtration may decline or cancel an order prior to dispatch, including where a product is unavailable or where a pricing or listing error has occurred; in that case any amount paid for the affected order will be refunded in full.

5.5 Online payment. Payment for online orders is processed at checkout. Any card payment surcharges are disclosed at checkout before payment. Products are not dispatched until cleared funds are received.

6. Standard Installation and Additional Works

6.1 Standard installation. Quoted prices for supply and install products are based on a standard installation unless otherwise stated in your quote. A standard installation means installation at or adjacent to the property’s mains water entry point, with clear and safe access to existing pipework. As a guide, a standard installation does not include: breaking or cutting of concrete, paving or other hard surfaces; extended pipework runs to relocate the system away from the mains entry point; relocation of existing plumbing, meters or utilities; works requiring council or water authority approval; or other site conditions identified by the installer as outside a standard installation. Whether an installation is standard is confirmed at your on-site consultation or by the installer on site.

6.2 Additional works. Any requirements outside a standard installation will be quoted separately and must be agreed before the relevant work proceeds. If you choose not to proceed with additional works, you may cancel the affected order and receive a full refund of amounts paid, less any card payment surcharges, or reschedule the installation for completion once the additional works quote is accepted. Armour Water Filtration may decline to proceed with an installation where site conditions make safe or compliant installation impracticable.

6.3 Access to your property. For supply and install orders, you agree to provide our installers with safe and unobstructed access to your property at the agreed time. Any delay caused by failure to provide access may result in a rescheduling fee. Armour Water Filtration will take reasonable care when working on your property. We are not responsible for pre-existing plumbing defects or conditions that become apparent during installation; if the installer identifies a pre-existing issue that affects the installation, you will be informed before work proceeds.

7. Compact RO Installation Requirements

7.1 Compact RO systems are installed only in properties with a whole-home filtration system in place, or where Armour Water Filtration has assessed the incoming water quality and plumbing as suitable. Sediment and rust from ageing pipework can rapidly clog RO pre-filters and damage the membrane.

7.2 Armour may decline to install, or decline to warrant, a Compact RO system where adequate pre-filtration is not in place. Installation without adequate pre-filtration in accordance with Armour’s installation requirements voids the warranty.

8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

8.1 Installations. Deposits paid at time of sale are non-refundable. If you cancel more than 72 hours before your scheduled installation, the deposit is forfeited with no further charge. If you cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled installation, the deposit is forfeited and a $120 cancellation fee applies. If Armour Water Filtration is unable to fulfil the installation, a full refund of the deposit will be provided. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including cooling-off rights that apply to unsolicited consumer agreements.

8.2 Service appointments. Service appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours notice incur no charge. Service appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time incur a $60 cancellation fee.

8.3 Consultations. Free on-site water consultations may be rescheduled or cancelled at any time; we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice as a courtesy.

8.4 Cancellation by Armour. We may cancel or reschedule a booking in circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including installer illness, severe weather events or supply issues. We will provide as much notice as possible and will not charge any fees for cancellations initiated by us. If we are unable to fulfil an order, amounts paid for that order will be refunded in full.

9. Product Warranties — General Terms

9.1  The following general terms apply to all product warranties provided by Armour Water Filtration. Warranty periods, covered components and any parts or labour terms are as stated in the applicable Product Warranty Schedule in section 10. Where a Product Warranty Schedule differs from these general terms, the schedule prevails.

9.2  Consumable items — including filter cartridges, membranes, CO2 cylinders and similar replaceable items — are not covered under warranty unless the applicable Product Warranty Schedule states otherwise. Any requirements regarding the source or type of consumables needed to maintain warranty are set out in the applicable Product Warranty Schedule.

9.3  All warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; for installed products, the warranty applies at the original installation address. Warranties are void if the product is modified, tampered with, or relocated from its original installation address without the prior written approval of Armour Water Filtration, or, for products designed for professional installation, if the product has not been professionally installed in accordance with Armour’s installation requirements.

9.4  Warranties cover the product only and do not extend to installation workmanship, which is warranted separately by the installing plumber under their licence and the plumbing compliance certificate issued for your installation. Workmanship-related issues should be reported to Armour Water Filtration on 1300 431 467 and will be referred to the installing plumber. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9.5  For supply-only purchases, installation is arranged by the customer and Armour Water Filtration provides no installation services. The applicable warranty applies provided the product is professionally installed in accordance with Armour’s installation requirements. Damage caused during or by installation, and any installation workmanship issues, are matters between the customer and their installer.

9.6  Warranty claims. To make a warranty claim, contact Armour Water Filtration on 1300 431 467 or info@armourwaterfiltration.com.au with your invoice number, the product name, a description of the fault, and photos where possible. Your invoice serves as proof of purchase and warranty commencement from the date of installation or, for products purchased without installation, from the date of purchase. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Claims are assessed by Armour, and we may request further information, photos or access to the product to complete the assessment. Where a fault is confirmed as a manufacturing defect covered by the applicable warranty, Armour will supply the replacement part in accordance with the Product Warranty Schedule. Replaced parts become the property of Armour Water Filtration.

9.7  Routine filter and cartridge replacement may be performed by the customer or any competent person using genuine Armour cartridges; this does not affect your warranty. Repairs, modifications or relocation of the system itself require Armour’s prior written approval; unauthorised repairs or modifications void the warranty.

9.8  Where the cause of a fault is in dispute, either party may request an assessment by an independent professional installation inspector not involved in the sale or installation of the product. Where the inspection is arranged with Armour’s prior consent and confirms a manufacturing defect covered by the applicable warranty, Armour will bear the reasonable cost of the inspection.

9.9  Urgent issues and leaks. If you experience a leak or urgent issue, first isolate the system using the bypass valve installed with your system. If the leak continues after bypassing, shut off the water supply at the meter and contact Armour Water Filtration on 1300 431 467. Once the system is bypassed or the water is shut off, the situation is contained and will be attended to in order of priority. Please do not engage third-party repairers — unauthorised work may void your warranty. Armour will assess the issue and refer installation workmanship matters to the installing plumber.

9.10  Supply-only warranty claims. Warranty claims for supply-only purchases follow the same process. Assessment is conducted remotely in the first instance; you may be required to provide photos, and to return the affected part to Armour Water Filtration for inspection at your cost. Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Armour will supply the replacement part and reimburse reasonable return freight. For urgent issues or leaks, isolate the system using the isolation or bypass valve fitted at installation, or shut off your water supply, and contact your installer; Armour can assist with product fault assessment on 1300 431 467.

9.11  Consumer guarantees. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

10. Product Warranty Schedules

The following schedules set out the warranty terms for each product. Where a product is not yet listed in this section, the general warranty terms in section 9 apply and the applicable warranty period is as stated on the relevant product page or your invoice.

10.1  Whole Home 3-Stage System — 5-year parts warranty. The Whole Home 3-Stage system carries a 5-year parts warranty from the date of installation, covering manufacturing defects in the filter housings, heads, brackets, fittings and stainless steel cover. The warranty covers replacement of defective parts only; labour, call-out and freight costs are not included. Filter cartridges are consumable items and are not covered under warranty. Conditions: replacement filters must be genuine Armour cartridges purchased from Armour Water Filtration and replaced on the recommended schedule (every 6–12 months) — customers may install replacement filters themselves or have them replaced by Armour; the system must be operated below 42°C and within the specified pressure range, with an approved pressure limiting valve installed to AS3500 where required; and the system must not be used on bore water without prior written approval from Armour Water Filtration.

10.2  Compact RO 5-Stage System — 2-year parts warranty. The Compact RO 5-Stage system carries a 2-year parts warranty from the date of installation, covering manufacturing defects in the housing, fittings, storage tank and components. The warranty covers replacement of defective parts only; labour, call-out and freight costs are not included. The RO membrane and filter cartridges are consumable items and are not covered under warranty. Conditions: the system must be installed with adequate pre-filtration in accordance with Armour’s installation requirements; operated within the specified inlet pressure range and below 42°C; and cartridges must be genuine Armour cartridges purchased from Armour Water Filtration and replaced on the recommended schedule.

11. Maintenance and Filter Replacement

11.1  To maintain filtration performance and warranty validity, filter cartridges must be replaced in accordance with the recommended maintenance schedule for your product. Replacement intervals are recommended guidelines only; actual frequency varies with water quality, contaminant levels and household usage. Armour Water Filtration sends reminders based on your installation or purchase date. The cost of replacement cartridges is not included in the initial purchase price unless otherwise agreed.

12. Returns and Refunds

12.1  Installed systems. Once a system has been professionally installed and commissioned, it is not eligible for return or refund for change of mind. Any faults or defects identified after installation are handled under the warranty process in section 9.

12.2  Supply-only orders. Armour Water Filtration does not accept returns for change of mind on supply-only orders. If you have concerns about your order prior to installation, contact us on 1300 431 467.

12.3  Faulty or defective on arrival. If a product is found to be faulty or defective on arrival, notify Armour Water Filtration within 7 days of delivery. Armour will assess and, if confirmed, provide a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

12.4  Filter cartridges and consumables. Unopened, undamaged filter cartridges and consumables may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Opened consumables cannot be returned.

12.5  Refund processing. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of Armour receiving the returned goods, or within 10 business days of approval where no return is required. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

12.6  Online store purchases. Products purchased through our online store — excluding filtration systems and opened consumables — may be returned for change of mind within 30 days of delivery, provided they are unused, in original condition and packaging. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer’s cost. This does not affect your rights in relation to faulty or defective products.

12.7  Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You retain all statutory rights in relation to faulty or defective products.

13. Stock, Backorders and Delivery

13.1  Stock and backorders. If a product is unavailable at the time of order, we will notify you and offer the choice to wait for stock, select an alternative product, or receive a full refund of any amount paid for the unavailable product.

13.2  Delivery. Delivery timeframes are provided at the time of order and are estimates only; they vary by product, stock availability, delivery location and courier schedules. Armour Water Filtration is not liable for delays caused by couriers or events outside our reasonable control. Risk in goods passes to the customer on delivery to the delivery address; title passes on payment in full. Any damage in transit must be noted to Armour within 2 business days of delivery. For supply and install orders, delivery is coordinated with your installation booking.

13.3  Online orders — shipping. Shipping costs and available delivery options for online orders are displayed at checkout. Delivery is available within Australia only unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address; redelivery or return costs arising from an incorrect address or failed delivery may be passed on. Where a parcel is returned to us undelivered, we will contact you to arrange redelivery or a refund less shipping costs incurred.

14. Customer Acknowledgement

14.1  By purchasing from Armour Water Filtration, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • (a) water filtration systems reduce contaminants; no system removes all contaminants from water, and filtration performance varies with incoming water quality, contaminant levels and household usage;
  • (b) systems incorporating scale or limescale reduction reduce, but do not eliminate, scale buildup, and are not water softeners; results vary with water hardness, temperature and usage;
  • (c) Armour Water Filtration has not represented that your unfiltered mains water is unsafe to drink; our products are supplied to improve water quality, taste and household protection;
  • (d) filter and consumable replacement intervals are recommended guidelines only; actual frequency varies with water quality, contaminant levels and household usage;
  • (e) no representation made by any sales representative, installer or other person is binding on Armour Water Filtration unless contained in these Terms and Conditions, Armour’s published materials, or confirmed in writing by Armour; and
  • (f) you have had the opportunity to review these Terms and Conditions before purchase.

14.2  Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Limitation of Liability

15.1  To the maximum extent permitted by law: Armour Water Filtration’s liability to you for any loss or damage arising from the supply of products or services is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant product or service; we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss or damage, including loss of profits or damage to property not caused directly by our negligence; we do not warrant that filtration performance will meet any specific water quality outcome beyond the parameters described in our product specifications; and we are not liable for any health outcomes arising from the use or non-use of our products.

15.2  These limitations apply even if Armour Water Filtration has been advised of the possibility of such damages, and do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
